Italian scientists have announced the discovery of a massive water system and underground structures approximately 700 meters below the Great Pyramid of Khafre. Research using radar technology suggests the presence of a hidden underground city beneath the pyramids. However, there are still doubts within the scientific community regarding this discovery.

The new finding of an “underground city” below the famous pyramids in Egypt continues to generate excitement in the scientific world. A team of Italian researchers revealed that they identified a mysterious water system and underground structures at a depth of about 700 meters below the Great Pyramid of Khafre.

Using sonar radar technology, the team obtained high-resolution images from the depths below the pyramids and mapped the structures in three dimensions.

“WE WILL UNVEIL THE UNDERGROUND CITY” According to a report in the Daily Mail, in a press statement made on Saturday, researchers indicated that this discovery not only points to the water system but also to underground passages descending deep into the earth. Professor Corrado Malanga from the University of Pisa in Italy stated, “By enlarging these images in the future, we will reveal that the structures below constitute a real underground city.” Initial reactions to the discovery were mixed. Some scientists labeled these claims as “incorrect” and “exaggerated”, while others seriously considered the existence of underground structures. Particularly, the statements regarding the vertical shafts and vast chambers below the Great Pyramid of Khafre drew attention. The team suggested that these underground systems may play a crucial role in maintaining the stability of the pyramid’s structure. Radar specialist Professor Lawrence Conyers from the University of Denver argued that radar technology has not advanced enough to penetrate the earth to such depths, therefore, the idea of an underground city is exaggerated. Nevertheless, he did not rule out the possibility of small structures existing beneath the pyramids.

ENIGMATIC LARGE CHAMBERS Another intriguing discovery shared during the press conference in Italy was the finding of large chambers claimed to be linked to the “Amenti Halls” below the pyramids. It is believed that these chambers hold lost information about ancient Egypt. Additionally, the team highlighted that the interconnected underground structures contained large rectangular enclosures accessible through shafts, and these structures were nearly as large as the pyramids themselves. Malanga and other researchers revealed that in a study conducted in 2022, they identified a thermal anomaly close to the base of the Great Pyramid of Khafre, providing further evidence of hidden chambers beneath the pyramid. The team believes that these new discoveries offer deeper insights into ancient civilizations of Egypt. However, it is noted that this research has not yet been independently verified by experts and published in scientific journals. Therefore, further investigations are emphasized to reach definitive conclusions on the matter.
