Deep observations with NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) revealed the discovery of a giant galaxy in the early universe. Findings related to the galaxy named “Great Wheel” were published in Nature Astronomy. Detailed JWST observations showed that the size and rotation speed of the “Great Wheel” can be comparable to the largest “super spiral” galaxies in the present universe. It was also noted that the unusually large “Great Wheel” grew actively at a similar rate to other galaxies of the same cosmic age.
