Entrepreneurial women in the district of Ipekyolu in Van are producing handmade natural chocolates, contributing to their family budgets and supporting employment. In 2022, 8 entrepreneurial women came together in the Ipekyolu district and started producing additive-free and preservative-free natural chocolates through a cooperative they established. Speaking on the matter, business owner Perihan Duman emphasized their focus on domestic production and their goal to further advance their activities in this field. Duman stated, “In 2021, we started on this path, and in 2022, we formed a cooperative to establish a more corporate structure. Thanks to sales points allocated by the governorship, we have the opportunity to reach wider audiences. We continue to grow by selling to institutions, retail customers, and offering box or kilo sales for special occasions.”
