The Central Bank has released new 100 and 10 lira banknotes as of today. The Central Bank’s decision on the new banknotes was published in the Official Gazette. According to this, 100 TL of VI series and 10 TL of VII series banknotes will be put into circulation starting today. The new banknotes will feature the signatures of TCMB President Dr. Fatih Karahan, Vice President Prof. Dr. Hatice Karahan for the 100 TL banknotes, and Vice President Dr. Osman Cevdet Akçay for the 10 TL banknotes. These banknotes will have the same dimensions, front and back compositions, as well as general characteristics and appearances as the previous ones, except for the signatures. The new series banknotes will circulate alongside the previous series banknotes.
