New Claim About Lost City: It Could be the Oldest Settlement in the World!

Italian researchers suggest that the underground city they claim to have discovered beneath the Giza Pyramids may bear traces of a lost civilization that could rewrite history.

The underground chambers and tunnels allegedly found beneath the Giza pyramids in Egypt could overturn what is known about ancient civilizations. According to a report by Daily Mail, Italian researchers claimed that the shafts and rooms they found deep inside the Khafre pyramid, as well as the entire Giza complex, are 38,000 years old. THOUSANDS OF YEARS OLDER THAN PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT The Giza Complex, housing the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, is believed to have been constructed around 4,500 years ago. However, Italian researchers claim that these structures belong to a civilization that existed 38,000 years ago. The researchers suggest that this civilization was wiped out by an asteroid impact, leaving behind only the “megastructures” of the pyramids. TRACES OF WATER, SALT DEPOSITS, AND UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES Alfredo Mei from the team notes the presence of water erosion marks on pyramid walls and heavy salt crusts inside. These findings suggest that the region was once submerged under an ocean. Additionally, shafts and room-like structures located between 2,000 and 4,000 feet underground are thought to belong to an ancient hidden city. The researchers speculate that these underground structures could be linked to the Ancient Egyptian legends of the City of Amenti or the Halls of Records. In particular, the physical data matching statements in the Book of the Dead claiming that the pyramids “seal the entrance to the city” make the claims even more intriguing. Archaeologists and radar experts point out that such claims have not been published in scientific journals and the methods used have not been verified. Lawrence Conyers, a professor from the University of Denver, argues that 38,000 years ago people were living in caves and such engineering would not have been possible. QUESTIONS NEED TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY Scientists claim that it would not have been possible to transport and place massive granite blocks with primitive tools, so stronger scientific explanations are needed. Meanwhile, researchers plan to provide more evidence for the existence of this unknown city based not only on ancient texts but also on physical findings.
