New Discovery in Titan Disaster: Sound Recording of Final Moments Found!

The US Coast Guard has released an acoustic sound recording believed to be linked to the sinking of the Titan submarine involved in the 2023 tragedy. This recording was captured approximately 1450 kilometers away from the explosion site by a passive acoustic recording device affiliated with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

INVESTIGATION CONTINUES The sound recording released by the Coast Guard Marine Investigation Board on Tuesday is part of the ongoing investigation into the operator of the vessel, OceanGate, and the Titan explosion. Testimonies given at Coast Guard hearings have painted a devastating portrait of the Washington-based company that developed and operated the 23,000-kilogram submarine, as well as its founder, who received approximately $250,000 per dive from passengers.

TITAN DISASTER AND CATASTROPHIC SINKING The Titan submarine imploded in on itself during an exploration trip to the wreck of the Titanic on June 18, 2023. Following the discovery of the wreckage, it was confirmed that all five passengers on board had perished. Authorities concluded that the vessel experienced a sudden “catastrophic collapse” inward due to immense pressure shock.

EXPLOSION THAT SHOCKED THE WORLD On the morning of June 18, 2023, the submarine lost contact with its mother ship. As it failed to resurface, an international search and rescue operation commenced. Among the passengers were Stockton Rush, founder and CEO of OceanGate, businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleman Dawood, businessman Hamish Harding, and French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet.
