New Era in Vehicle Ads: Authorization Verification to be Conducted

The authorization verification period in vehicle ads has officially begun today. Within the scope of the implementation, vehicle ads can only be posted by authorized establishments. The Ministry of Commerce has launched the “authorization verification” process for vehicle ads through the Electronic Ad Verification System (EİDS) as of today. Accordingly, a transition period until April 1st has been envisaged for the authorization verification process in vehicle ads. Until this date, vehicle ads can be posted without completing the authorization verification process. Once the transition period ends, authorization verification in vehicle ads will become mandatory. Vehicle ads on platforms can only be posted by the owner of the vehicle, first and second-degree relatives, or by certified establishments authorized by the vehicle owner. Vehicle owners will authorize auto gallery establishments to post ads through e-Government. From April 1st onwards, vehicle ads cannot be posted without authorization verification on ad platforms. Auto gallery establishments without a second-hand motor vehicle trading license will not be able to enter ads. This regulation will cover all ads given in electronic platforms including social media. The identity verification process in vehicle ads has been in effect since November 1, 2023. The implementation prevented individuals who did not verify their identity information from posting ads on platforms.
