North Korean Leader Issues Warning: “Increasing Threat of World War”

The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, stated that the US and the West deliberately provoked the war in Ukraine, emphasizing that “we will always support Russia’s just cause to defend its security and territorial integrity.” Kim also addressed global and geopolitical conflicts, warning that “the geopolitical crises created by the US in different parts of the world further increase the risk of a new world war.”
During his congratulatory visit to the Ministry of Defense as part of the 77th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army, Kim Jong-Un addressed senior military officials. He stressed the need to enhance war capabilities to deal with all kinds of security situations.
Regarding the deployment of strategic nuclear assets by the US to the Korean Peninsula and the alliance of the US, Japan, and South Korea inviting regional conflict, Kim stated, “Although our country does not desire unnecessary tensions, we will take sustainable countermeasures to prevent a new war and ensure peace and security on the Korean Peninsula.”
NEW WORLD WAR RISK LOOMING Kim, while addressing global and geopolitical conflicts, commented that “the crisis in the Middle East, including the Gaza Strip and Syria, and the Ukraine issue are expected to remain at the core of the international security environment this year.”
Expressing concerns about the US’s provocation of geopolitical crises around the world leading to an increased risk of a new world war, Kim said, “The war machine of the US, which has been provoking the three-year-long Ukraine war, stands at the center of conflicts behind the scenes.” “CONCERNED ABOUT PROVOKING THE UKRAINE WAR”
Kim expressed serious concerns about the hallucinatory ambition of the US to establish a unipolar world and hegemony, disrupting global peace and stability. He stated, “I am deeply concerned about the US and the West instigating war with the aim of harming Russia based on an unachievable dream.”
Emphasizing North Korea’s commitment to opposing any actions denying international justice and disrupting global peace and security, Kim said, “In line with the spirit of the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement we signed, we will always support Russia’s just cause to defend its security and territorial integrity.”
“WE WILL NOT ABANDON NUCLEAR POWER”
Kim highlighted that the truth about the US being behind disputes and bloodshed worldwide validates North Korea’s policy of building strong defense capabilities. He added, “North Korea’s armed forces must always remain faithful to the duty of defending the country, constitution, state, and people,” stating they will continue to develop all deterrence capabilities, including nuclear power.
NORTH KOREA’S MILITARY SUPPORT TO RUSSIA North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Pyongyang last June and signed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement.
Explaining that the agreement, foreseeing mutual cooperation in many fields, also includes “mutual assistance in case of external attacks against one of the parties,” Putin stated, “Under this agreement, Russia does not overlook military-technical cooperation with North Korea.”
Following the developments, North Korea sent troops to Russia to fight against Ukraine.
