North Korea’s Show of Force Prompts Action from the United States

Following North Korea’s strategic cruise missile test, a U.S. aircraft carrier entered South Korean waters a few days later. According to reports, the U.S. Navy ships visited the country to demonstrate a joint stance on defense against North Korea’s threats.
The USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier, belonging to the U.S., docked in South Korea shortly after North Korea’s strategic cruise missile test. According to Yonhap, the South Korean navy made a statement regarding the matter. The statement mentioned that the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier, along with the guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton and the Aegis missile defense system-equipped destroyer USS Sterett, anchored at a military base in Busan. In response to North Korea’s threat, it was reported that the U.S. Navy ships visited the country to showcase a joint stance on defense against North Korea’s threats. North Korea had announced on February 26th that they had tested strategic cruise missiles to demonstrate their nuclear attack capabilities against enemies threatening the country’s security. North Korea, known for regularly conducting missile tests, had previously tested strategic cruise missiles from sea to land on January 26th.
