The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the inflation data for three months, April, May, and June, will directly impact salaries. Here is the calculation for retiree and civil servant salary raise… Millions of employees working in public institutions such as teachers, police officers, doctors, engineers, lawyers, academic staff, and other professional groups are focused on the July raise. The increase in civil servant salaries is determined according to the inflation difference. The three-month inflation data that will directly affect salaries in 2025 has been announced. In January, inflation was 5.03, while it increased by 2.27 in February. The inflation rate in March was 2.46, and in the first quarter of 2025, the rate of increase is starting to become clear. So, by how much will retiree and civil servant salaries be raised in 2025? Here is the latest on civil servant and retiree raise… With the announcement of inflation rates for January, February, and March, the three-month inflation difference has also been determined. SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees have already earned a 10.06% inflation difference in the past three months. The inflation difference to be received by civil servants is 3.83%. When determining retiree and civil servant salaries, the data for April, May, and June will be taken into account. The increase in July will be calculated cumulatively. The lowest retiree pension currently being paid is 14,469 TL deposited into accounts. Assuming an inflation rate increase for retirees whose existing pension is currently 14,649 TL, the pension would rise to 15,925 TL. If an 10.6% raise is applied to a retiree with a pension of 15,000 TL, the new pension would be 16,509 TL. For a retiree with a pension of 16,000 TL, after the three-month inflation, the new pension would be 17,610 TL, while an average retiree receiving 17,000 TL would see their pension rise to 18,710 TL. The above calculations were made considering the three-month inflation. The exact raise rates will be determined based on the inflation rates for April, May, and June. Teachers, police chief inspectors, police officers, specialist doctors, nurses, engineers, and other positions in public institutions have already earned a 5.03% raise based on the three-month inflation difference. Civil servants will get a 5% raise according to the 7th Period Collective Bargaining Agreement. Along with the inflation difference, the cumulative increase will be 9.03% based on the three-month data. A teacher currently working at the 1/4 degree as a civil servant receives 52,935 TL salary. If their salary is increased by 9.3% based on the three-month inflation and collective agreement, it would go up by 4,897 TL, reaching 57,832 TL. A nurse working at the 5/1 degree had their salary raised to 53,465 TL with the January raise. If they receive a 9.3% raise, their salary would increase by 4,972 TL to 58,437 TL. Those working as police officers at the 8/1 degree currently receive a salary of 58,938 TL. If they receive a 9.3% raise, their salary would increase by 5,481 TL to 64,419 TL. NOTE: The above salary calculations do not include regional payments, additional lessons, acting pay, incentive payments, etc. Additionally, the calculation was made based on the three-month inflation data and the collective bargaining raise. The exact raise rates for civil servants will be determined by the inflation data for April, May, and June.
