Number of motorcycles surpasses cars in 5 provinces

In Turkey, the number of registered motorcycles has exceeded that of cars in five provinces. Manisa stood out as the province with the largest difference between motorcycles and cars. As of February, the record level of 6,329,732 registered motorcycles was reached in Turkey, surpassing the number of cars in Aydın, Kilis, Manisa, Muğla, and Iğdır. According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), as of last month, the number of registered motor vehicles in Turkey was determined to be 16,405,235 for cars, 526,102 for minibuses, 214,230 for buses, 4,738,370 for vans, 1,006,568 for trucks, 6,329,732 for motorcycles, 103,524 for special purpose vehicles, 2,272,761 for tractors, totaling 31,596,522. MOST MOTORCYCLES IN ISTANBUL When looking at the number of motorcycles by province, Istanbul had the highest number with 811,333 motorcycles, followed by Antalya with 498,237 and Izmir with 470,164. The province with the least number of motorcycles was Ardahan, with a total of 951 motorcycles, followed by Tunceli with 1,539, Hakkari with 1,568, and Bitlis with 1,773. MOTORCYCLES TRIPLE IN KILIS The number of motorcycles exceeded the number of cars in Aydın, Kilis, Manisa, Muğla, and Iğdır. While there were 13,370 cars registered in Kilis, it was found that there were 38,431 motorcycles registered. In Aydın, there were 227,947 cars compared to 228,601 motorcycles, in Manisa 263,306 cars compared to 302,690 motorcycles, in Muğla 267,341 cars compared to 289,104 motorcycles, and in Iğdır 7,782 cars compared to 11,643 motorcycles registered on the roads.
