Nvidia, US chip producer, reports 78% revenue increase: “Artificial intelligence advancing at light speed”

The revenue of Nvidia, a California-based chip producer, reached $39.3 billion in the three-month period, marking a 78% annual increase and surpassing market expectations. Nvidia disclosed its financial results for the three-month period ending on January 26, which it considers as the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025. In this period, the company’s revenue rose to $39.3 billion, showing a 78% yearly increase. Nvidia also increased its revenue by 12% compared to the previous quarter, while last year during the same period, it had an income of $22.1 billion. The market expectation was that Nvidia’s revenue for this period would be $38.05 billion. Nvidia’s revenue for the fiscal year 2025 also reached $130.5 billion, showing a 114% increase. The chip producer announced its revenue expectation for the current quarter as $43 billion.
The company’s net income in that quarter also saw an 80% annual growth, reaching $22.1 billion. Last year during the same period, the net income of the company was recorded as $12.3 billion. Additionally, the earnings per share for Nvidia’s fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2024 rose from 49 cents to 89 cents in this period, surpassing market expectations.
Nvidia’s Founder and CEO, Jensen Huang, described the demand for the Blackwell AI chip dedicated to artificial intelligence as “fantastic” in his statement regarding the financial results. Huang stated that they successfully accelerated the large-scale production of Blackwell AI supercomputers, achieving billions of dollars in sales in the first quarter. He also commented that artificial intelligence is advancing at light speed, preparing the ground for the next artificial intelligence wave that will revolutionize the biggest sectors with contextual and physical artificial intelligence technologies.
