Ömer Koyuncu Elected as President of the Association of Automotive Authorized Dealers

The Association of Automotive Authorized Dealers (OYDER) announced the election of Ömer Koyuncu as President. According to OYDER’s statement, Koyuncu was elected to the presidency after a vote at the 9th Ordinary General Assembly of the association, and he will hold this position for three years. Zeynep Fidan Soysal and Kemal Tepret will serve as vice presidents under Koyuncu’s leadership. Dr. Altuğ Erciş, the previous president of OYDER, has been appointed as the Chairman of the OYDER High Advisory Board in the new term. Speaking at the general assembly meeting, Ömer Koyuncu expressed his gratitude to past presidents. Despite record sales in the last two years, Koyuncu emphasized the need to address serious issues such as stock financing expenses, imbalances caused by unprofitable sales, and dealer inventories. He stated, “It is essential for our sector to progress healthily that our distributors, manufacturing industry, logistics, and all other stakeholders act in harmony during this period.” “WE DERIVE OUR STRENGTH FROM AUTHORIZED DEALERS” Emphasizing that OYDER’s goal in the new term is to prepare for the future with 1250 dealerships and over 50,000 employees, and ensure the sustainability of dealerships, Koyuncu stated that OYDER draws its strength from authorized dealers. Koyuncu pointed out that the sectoral efficiency and sustainability would be significantly influenced by distributors, manufacturing industry, logistics, and all other stakeholders working in harmony. He said, “As OYDER, we continue to make every effort for the effective progress of our sector. In the upcoming period, we aim to establish closer dialogues and collaborations with government institutions, ODMD, OSD, TOKKDER, TAYSAD, MASFED, and other sector representatives to address the fundamental issues of our sector with a common perspective.”
