More than 20 thousand applications have been received for the 2,500 lira support payments given to maintain employment in businesses. Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanı Mehmet Fatih Kacır reported that 20,354 SMEs applied to the KOSGEB Employment Protection Support Program to protect employment for 530 thousand people. Kacır shared information about the number of applications made to the KOSGEB Employment Protection Support Program on his social media account. Emphasizing the commitment to support SMEs, the driving force of the economy, and always be by the side of entrepreneurs, Kacır stated, “With the program we have initiated to maintain the competitiveness of labor-intensive manufacturing industries, 20,354 businesses have applied for the monthly 2,500 lira support per employee without repayment commitment, aiming to protect around 530 thousand jobs.”
