Passenger Plane in US Catches Fire After Landing: They Waited for Help on the Wing

In the United States, a passenger plane caught fire at the airport. While passengers were quickly evacuated, some waited to be rescued on the wing of the aircraft. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane with 172 passengers and 6 crew members took off from Colorado Springs. The aircraft, belonging to American Airlines, landed at Denver International Airport. However, as it approached for passengers to disembark, smoke rose from the engine section. American Airlines announced that the fire broke out due to a malfunction in the plane’s engine.

THEY WAITED TO BE RESCUED ON THE WING: Some of the passengers waited in panic to be rescued on the wing of the plane. According to a statement from American Airlines, passengers and crew were safely evacuated. The Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation into the incident.

BACK-TO-BACK PLANE ACCIDENTS IN THE US

In January in the US, a total of 67 people lost their lives as a result of a collision between a helicopter and a passenger plane near Washington’s Ronald Reagan Airport.

Following this accident, while discussions within the aviation industry continued, an air ambulance carrying a sick child in Philadelphia crashed near a shopping center. Six individuals inside the aircraft and one person on the ground lost their lives.
