Passenger Record at Airports during the Bayram Holiday

During the period of March 28 – April 6, a total of 6.1 million passengers were served at Istanbul, Esenboğa, Adnan Menderes, Antalya, Milas-Bodrum, and Dalaman Airports, where 2025 passenger records were broken. Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu reported that the number of passengers traveling by air in the first quarter of 2025 reached 45,175,946. Uraloğlu also stated that during the Ramadan Bayram holiday period from March 28 to April 6, 6.1 million passengers were served at airports, noting that many airports broke passenger records in 2025. In the first quarter of 2025, the Minister mentioned that the total air traffic to airports, including take-offs and landings, reached 500,022, with 204,856 domestic and 164,880 international flights, and emphasized: “During this period, the total number of passengers served, including direct transit passengers, was 45,175,946, with 20,680,980 domestic and 24,458,978 international passengers. Compared to the same period in 2024, there was a 2.5% increase in total passenger traffic, including direct transit. Airport cargo traffic reached a total of 1,038,913 tons on domestic and international routes.”
