Payment of 5.4 Billion Lira under Home Care Assistance

Minister of Family and Social Services Göktaş announced that a total of 5.4 billion lira was deposited into accounts this month under the Home Care Assistance program. Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated that they made a total payment of 5.4 billion lira under the Home Care Assistance program this month to provide financial support to severely dependent citizens and their families taken care of at home. Göktaş recalled that the Home Care Assistance program, initiated in 2006 with the idea of primarily supporting disabled individuals within their families, is one of the most important family-oriented care service models provided by the ministry. Göktaş expressed, “We prioritize the care of disabled citizens to be carried out at home in a way that preserves their family unity. Through Home Care Assistance, we support the preservation and strengthening of family unity by enabling disabled individuals to live with their families or loved ones without leaving the environment they are accustomed to.” Highlighting that the care of fully dependent family members in need of care is taken over through Home Care Assistance, Göktaş emphasized that an average of 543,000 individuals benefit from Home Care Assistance monthly, with a payment of 10,125 lira per eligible beneficiary.
