Plane crash in South Sudan: 46 people died

In the Unity state of South Sudan, a total of 46 people lost their lives in a plane crash.
The tragic incident occurred when a military aircraft crashed in the Unity state of South Sudan.
The plane took off to head towards the capital, Juba, but shortly after departure, it crashed near the local time of 10:30 AM, close to the oil fields. Officials stated, “The plane crashed 500 meters away from the airport. There were 21 people on board with only one survivor so far.” Information Minister announced that an investigation will be launched, expressing that “the state government is deeply saddened by this accident.”
South Sudan, a young nation that gained independence in 2011 and is grappling with a chronic economic and political crisis, lacks a reliable transportation infrastructure.
Plane crashes in the country are usually attributed to factors like overloading and adverse weather conditions.
