Plane flying from England to India makes emergency landing in Diyarbakir

An aircraft flying from London to India made an emergency landing at Diyarbakir Airport due to a passenger falling ill. Virgin Atlantic Airways’ A350-1000 aircraft, operating the London-Mumbai route with flight number VIR-358, had to make an emergency landing after a passenger fell ill. As a result, the plane had to touch down at Diyarbakir Airport at 18:35. After the aircraft was parked on the apron, the sick passenger was treated by healthcare teams. The 262 passengers and 16 crew members on board the aircraft, which landed harshly, were evacuated and taken to the customs area. The airline company scheduled an additional flight for the passengers. Inspection of the aircraft by the airline’s technical team is ongoing. Meanwhile, there have been no negative impacts reported on flights planned to depart from Diyarbakir Airport.
