President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who traveled to Malaysia for official visits, met with Prime Minister Enver Ibrahim. The two leaders held a joint press conference.
Ibrahim stated, “We are lucky to host the leader of the Muslim world, advocate for justice, and defender of human rights.”
Erdogan mentioned in his speech:
“We have signed 11 agreements in different fields.
We are committed to increasing the trade and investment mobility with a win-win approach. We are raising bilateral trade volume from 5 billion dollars to 10 billion dollars.
We extensively discussed our relations in industry, technology, energy, tourism, and culture.
We welcome Malaysia’s interest in our country.
During the brief discussion we had about Sabiha Gokcen, we quickly doubled our runway capacity and now we want to swiftly build the terminal to provide a platform for a greater number of airplanes.
We have sent over 100 shipments of aid to Palestine so far, and this will continue.
We appreciate Malaysia’s stance on Gaza and Palestine. Israel persists in its massacre policy. In the latest ceasefire, Israel did not keep its promises. Israel must end the occupation in Palestinian territories and compensate for the damages it has caused.”
