Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized in his Nowruz holiday message that establishing healthy relationships with neighboring countries is their top priority. Speaking on the occasion of Nowruz, the first day of the new year according to the Hijri Solar calendar, Pezeshkian addressed the people in a video message. He mentioned the difficulties the country faced last year, including the sudden death of former President Ebrahim Raisi and the massacres and war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon. Pezeshkian stated, “At the beginning of a new era, we are determined to guide our beloved Iran away from ugliness, filth, and injustices, and we will make every effort to achieve this.” He also expressed sensitivity towards the economic and social hardships of the people, saying, “I am aware of the inflation and high price issues, and we will definitely find a solution to these problems with the support and participation of all our valued Iranian people.” Pezeshkian emphasized their intention to make substantial changes in the country, stating, “Continuing to govern and live as in the past would only exacerbate and intensify the imbalances.” Regarding foreign policy, Pezeshkian emphasized, “Having healthy relationships with neighboring countries in all fields is our top priority. We aspire to build a world full of peace, brotherhood, and humanity, far from terrorism, massacres, and the ruthless killings by criminals and oppressors, with all countries of the world.”
