President Shara’s first cabinet disclosed in Syria

In Syria, the new cabinet under the leadership of President Ahmed Shara has been announced. The cabinet includes names from different segments of society. Following the overthrow of the 61-year-old Baath regime at the People’s Palace in Damascus, the first cabinet established under President Ahmed Shara’s leadership held a swearing-in ceremony. President Shara, in his opening speech at the ceremony, stated, “Today is the day we start walking towards a future we deserve with a strong will and determination drawn from our past.” Shara outlined his vision plans by stating, “We will rebuild the state institutions, prioritize transparency and accountability in all processes, combat the economic and social issues our people have been facing for many years, protect human rights and fundamental freedoms, and strengthen them further. We will develop our education and healthcare systems to provide a better life for future generations.” He added, “By working together, we will enhance our country’s progress and will not allow any form of corruption to infiltrate our institutions. Justice is foundational, and this value will be a compass guiding each decision we make.” President Shara emphasized, “We are determined on the path of change and development with this government. We will work day and night to not disappoint the trust of our people.” Speeches were also given by ministers in the new cabinet at the ceremony. The names included in Shara’s new cabinet are: 1- Minister of Foreign Affairs Esad Hasan Shaybani 2- Minister of Defense Murhaf Abu Kasra 3- Minister of Interior Affairs Enes Hattab 4- Minister of Justice Mahzar al-Wais 5- Minister of Higher Education Mervan Aleppo 6- Minister of Foundations Muhammad Abu Hayir Shukri 7- Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabavat 8- Minister of Energy Muhammad Bashir 9- Minister of Finance Muhammad Yusr Berniyye 10- Minister of Economy Nidal Shaar 11- Minister of Health Musab Nezzal Al-Ali 12- Minister of Local Administrations Muhammad Ancerani 13- Minister of Telecommunications Abdulselam Haykel 14- Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raid Salih 15- Minister of Agriculture Emced Bedr 16- Minister of Education Muhammad Abdulrahman Terko 17- Minister of Public Works and Housing Mustafa Abdulrazzaq 18- Minister of Culture Muhammad Salih 19- Minister of Youth and Sports Muhammad Sameh Hamid 20- Minister of Tourism Mazen Salihani 21- Minister of Administrative Development Muhammad Sika 22- Minister of Transportation Yarub Bedir 23- Minister of Information Hamza Mustafa NAMES FROM DIFFERENT SEGMENTS OF SOCIETY INCLUDED In the cabinet, there were names representing different segments of society, such as Social Affairs and Labor Minister Hind Kabavat, a well-known figure in the Christian community, Agriculture Minister Emced Bedr from the Druze-populated region of Suwayda, Education Minister Terko from the Afrin region, and Yarub Bedir, who served as Minister of Transportation from 2006 to 2011 in the predominantly Alevi-populated Latakia region, representing various segments of society. Additionally, it was noted that Intelligence Chief Enes Hattab took over the role of Minister of Interior Affairs, while the same individuals continued in their positions in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
