President Donald Trump of the United States has once again reached out to the people of Greenland. In a statement, Trump announced, “If you wish, we invite you to become a part of the United States, the world’s largest nation.”

President Donald Trump reiterated his desire to incorporate Greenland into his country. Speaking through his own social media platform, Truth, Trump recalled his address to the U.S. Congress, stating, “As I clearly expressed in my speech, the U.S. strongly supports Greenland’s right to determine its own future.”

Addressing the people of Greenland with assurances of “We will continue to keep you safe as we have since World War II,” Trump stated, “We are ready to invest billions of dollars to create new job opportunities and enrich you. And if you wish, we invite you to become part of the United States, the world’s largest nation.” He HAD RAISED THE ISSUE IN HIS CONGRESSIONAL SPEECH Previously emphasizing that Greenland should be a part of the U.S. on multiple occasions, Trump had also brought up the topic in a speech to the U.S. Congress. Addressing the people of Greenland, he had said, “We strongly support your right to determine your own future and we welcome you to the U.S. if you wish.”

Emphasizing Greenland’s critical importance for the national and international security of the U.S., Trump had stated, “One way or another, we will acquire Greenland.”
