Following a live broadcast of the debate between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump at the White House, the Embassy of Ukraine in Ankara shared a photo of Zelensky with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky debated in front of millions in a live broadcast prior to the rare mineral agreement expected to be signed at the White House.

Trump responded to Zelensky’s remarks about feeling alone by saying, “You weren’t alone. Through our stupid president, we gave you $350 billion. We provided you with military equipment. If it weren’t for our military equipment, this war would have ended in 2 weeks.”

Following the debate, the expected joint press conference was not held, and the agreement was not signed. Zelensky left the White House and canceled his programs in Washington. After these developments, the Embassy of Ukraine in Ankara shared a photo of President Erdogan with Zelensky, without providing any further explanation. In the shared photo, Zelensky was depicted under the umbrella held by Erdogan.
