Price ranges from 250 lira to 600 lira: Displayed at the market stall

With the approaching of Ramadan Bayram, colorful sweets and chocolates have taken their places on the stalls. In the historic bazaar of Bursa, as the days of Ramadan Bayram are approaching, holiday sweets and chocolates are displayed on the stalls for customers to enjoy. Sweets and chocolates, ranging in price from 250 lira to 600 lira per kilogram, are waiting for buyers for a limited time. The colorful appearance of these sweets and chocolates attracts children, and citizens show great interest in them before the holiday. Shopkeeper Orhan Çağlayan expressed that they expect a busy day of sales on the eve of the holiday, saying, “With the arrival of Ramadan Bayram, the indispensable sweets and chocolates of the holidays have taken their places on the stalls. The interest and attentiveness of citizens have also started to increase significantly. There are only a few days left until Ramadan Bayram, yet we expect sales to pick up even more a few days before the holiday, as citizens’ interest in sweets and chocolates will increase. We are a bit calmer now because preparations for various expenses were made in advance, but we expect sales to increase even more in the coming days. Speaking of prices, although last year’s Ramadan and Eid al-Adha prices generally remained the same, prices have risen slightly this year, especially for chocolate products, due to increased costs. This increase naturally reflected on the price tags. For example, in the case of chocolates, there are branded and quality chocolates starting from 250 TL and going up to 300, 350, and 600 TL depending on their quality. The prices of confectioneries range from 200 to 300 TL. The most important point that citizens should pay attention to when buying sweets and chocolates is that some places may sell expired products under the guise of campaigns. They should also be careful when buying sweets and chocolates made in unregistered and unsafe places. Shopping from reputable and trusted places will be healthier and more appropriate.”
