A rare lantern fish was caught in the nets of fishermen from the Black Sea. The fish was put up for sale at 500 lira per kilogram by a fisherman in the town of Perşembe, who set out to sea in Ordu. The lantern fish, weighing around 6.5 kilograms, was caught by fishermen who were out on their boats in the city. Fisherman Özay Çakır mentioned that this type of fish is usually caught in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas, and it is rare to see them in the Black Sea. Çakır expressed that they estimated the fish came from the Marmara Sea to the Black Sea and noted that customers have shown interest in the fish he has for sale at his stall. He stated that he is selling the fish for 500 lira per kilogram, and for those who want to purchase the entire fish, he will sell it for 3,250 lira.
