Record-breaking Central Bank Reserves

The reserves of the Central Bank broke a record by increasing from $167.5 billion to $173.2 billion in the week of February 14. Gross foreign exchange reserves surpassed $100 billion after 8 years.
The Central Bank announced its weekly monetary and banking statistics.
According to the data, the total reserves of the CBRT increased by 3.4% from $167.492 million to $173.152 million in the week of February 14, setting a new record.
Gross foreign exchange reserves rose to $100.677 million with an increase of $3.748 billion. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at $96.929 million on February 7.
Thus, gross foreign exchange reserves exceeded $100 billion after 8 years.
During this period, gold reserves increased from $70.563 million to $72.475 million.
Net reserves excluding swaps also reached a record high of $71.5 billion. In the previous week, net reserves excluding swaps were at $65.1 billion.
