Reduction in Health Co-payment: Changes in Examination Fees

The Social Security Institution (SGK) has made changes in the health practice communiqué. The co-payment amounts to be applied in physician and dentist examinations have been determined.

The co-payment, which was 45 Turkish lira at training and research hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health and district polyclinics connected to these hospitals, has been reduced to 20 Turkish lira.

No co-payment will be charged for physician and dentist examinations performed at primary healthcare service providers.

Co-payment at private healthcare service providers in the second and third tiers will remain at 50 Turkish lira. The communiqué will be effective as of January 15, 2025.
