Removal of 60 Thousand Tankers from Traffic

The Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Uraloğlu, announced that approximately 60 thousand tankers will be removed from the traffic in Antalya with a new pipeline. Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu reported that they have built a new pipeline within Antalya Airport to transport airplane fuel in order to strengthen the investments made under the Antalya Airport Expansion Project. Minister Uraloğlu noted that the pipeline in question has been integrated into the pipeline belonging to the Ministry of National Defense’s ANT Directorate. “We have built a new pipeline on the airport grounds to transport airplane fuel from the seaport to Antalya Airport. The pipeline extends directly to the ramps inside the terminal. This allows us to refuel airplanes much faster, safer, and more efficiently,” said Minister Uraloğlu. “EASING ANTALYA TRAFFIC” Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that this project is a strategic gain for Antalya, stating, “We are eliminating the entry and exit traffic of approximately 60 thousand tankers between the Seaport and Antalya Airport from the roads annually. This eases the city traffic of Antalya, increases road safety, and reduces environmental pollution.” “NEW TERMINAL BUILDINGS OPENING TODAY” Minister Uraloğlu also mentioned that the new terminal buildings implemented under the Antalya Airport Expansion Project will be inaugurated today by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, saying, “We are increasing the international terminal to 224 thousand square meters and the domestic terminal to 75 thousand square meters, while the annual passenger capacity of our airport will reach 82 million.”
