Yılmaz Ulusoy, one of the partners of Ulusoy Shipping and the Chairman of Yılmaz Ulusoy Holding, passed away after undergoing treatment for a long time due to a blood clot.

Despite the best efforts of the doctors, Ulusoy passed away on February 23rd. The funeral of the late businessman will take place today following the noon prayer at Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque, and he will be laid to rest at Ulus Cemetery. It is noteworthy that Yılmaz Ulusoy’s date of death coincides with the death anniversary of his brother, Saffet Ulusoy.

Saffet Ulusoy was known as a prominent figure who made significant contributions to the development of Ro-Ro transportation in Turkey. YILMAZ ULUSOY – WHO WAS HE? Yılmaz Ulusoy, born in 1941 in Of district of Trabzon, began his business career at Ulusoy Holding. In 2008, he founded his own company, Yılmaz Ulusoy Holding, after leaving there. He also held positions such as Membership in the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), Chamber of Shipping (DTO), and Membership of TÜSİAD. Ulusoy served as the president of Samsunspor Club between 1968-1971. Lastly, Ulusoy was honored with the “Business World Honorary Award” at the 18th Ekovitrin Stars of the Year Awards Ceremony. Yılmaz Ulusoy, who was married to Serap Ulusoy, was the father of three children and the grandfather of five.
