But if you want, we can buy Twitter for $9.74 billion.” They had founded OpenAI together and Elon Musk, along with Sam Altman, had founded the company in 2015. However, before the company reached its current value, Musk left the project, launching his own artificial intelligence venture xAI in 2023. It is believed that Altman’s humorous response and his use of the former name of the X platform, Twitter, will increase the chilly winds between the two. Musk recently criticized Trump’s $500 billion OpenAI-led initiative announced at the White House.
