Retired police officer found dead in Yeşilırmak River
In Amasya, the lifeless body of 69-year-old retired police officer İsmail Aylak was found in the Yeşilırmak River.
At around 11:00 in the Ellibeşevler District of Ataşehir in Amasya, individuals who noticed a motionless person on the water’s surface in the Yeşilırmak River alerted the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Police, AFAD (The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority), health, and fire department teams were dispatched to the area. The underwater search and rescue teams affiliated with the Amasya Municipality Fire Department brought the lifeless body of the individual, who was determined to be deceased, to the shore.
Upon examination, it was determined that the body belonged to retired police officer İsmail Aylak (69).
After the examination of the lifeless body, it was sent to the morgue of Amasya University Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin Education and Research Hospital. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
