Reuters: US Removes High-Level NATO Admiral from Position
Sources speaking to Reuters disclosed that a Rear Admiral in a senior position at NATO has been removed from their position.
The administration of President Donald Trump in the US is claimed to have removed Rear Admiral Shoshana Chatfield, a female senior officer at NATO, from her position.
According to information provided by three sources speaking to Reuters, the removal is part of a broader process of the Trump administration expanding its “national security purge” targeting senior officials.
The Pentagon has not yet made an official confirmation regarding the matter. However, sources indicated that allied countries have been informed about Chatfield’s removal.
