In March, the product with the highest price increase was potatoes with 42.1%. Meanwhile, air transportation decreased by 18.13%. In terms of consumer prices, the highest price increase in March was 42.1% in potatoes, while the biggest drop was 18.13% in air passenger transportation. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data, after potatoes, products related to pets saw a price increase of 23.85%, followed by 22.82% for gambling. Among other products that showed the highest price increases in March were fresh vegetables (excluding potatoes) at 19.9%, fresh fruits at 11.21%, cigarettes at 10.85%, and breakfast cereals at 10.73%.
Products with the biggest price drops last month were air passenger transportation, which decreased by 18.13%. This was followed by intercity road passenger transportation at 5.28%, children’s clothing at 4.76%, women’s clothing at 4.57%, and butter at 2.74%.
