The spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, made a statement regarding the gathering of 30 high-level military officials from European Union (EU) countries in the United Kingdom. Zakharova stated that the UK is trying to drag the EU into a bloodbath with Russia.

Russia reacted to the meeting of 30 high-level military officials from European Union (EU) countries at the Northwood military base in the United Kingdom last Thursday.

In her statement, Maria Zakharova from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the UK is well aware of the danger of sending peacekeeping forces to Ukraine and cleverly brought up the idea of anonymizing the military uniforms of the potential peacekeeping unit in Ukraine.

“DRAGGING EUROPE INTO A BLOODBATH”

Addressing the purpose behind this meeting, Zakharova also mentioned, “We understand why they are doing this. They need to drag Europe into a bloodbath with Russia. London, which once left the European Union, now, after disrupting the EU’s economy, has the lofty dream of bringing the European continent together. And eventually, they will join the Anglo-Saxon coalition.”

Zakharova further stated in her remarks that Russia and the United States are discussing the terms of a new agreement to restart the Black Sea grain initiative.
