Russia claims Turkish Stream attack during Zelenskiy’s meeting with Trump

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ukraine attempted to attack the station supplying natural gas to the Turkish Stream pipeline with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) while President Zelenskiy was visiting the United States. In a written statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, information about the attempted attack on the infrastructure of the Turkish Stream pipeline was provided. The statement mentioned that during Ukrainian President Zelenskiy’s visit to the United States, there was an attempt to attack the compressor station in the Krasnodar region last night with 3 UAVs, with the goal of disrupting the natural gas supply to Europe. The statement also noted that all UAVs were shot down by air defense systems and the station did not incur any damage. It was further stated that the natural gas supply from the compressor station to the Turkish Stream was continuing normally. The Russian Ministry of Defense had previously announced on January 13th that Ukraine had made a similar attempt to attack the same station with 9 UAVs.
