Russia strikes Ukraine’s Sumy region: 31 dead

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 31 people lost their lives in the attack conducted by Russia on the Sumy region.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko stated in a written statement on his Telegram account that the Russian army launched a ballistic missile attack on the Sumy region.

President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his statement regarding the attack, said, “It is known that 31 people have lost their lives so far in Sumy due to the impact of Russian ballistic missiles. Among the deceased are two children. My condolences to their families and loved ones.”

Zelensky added the following to his statement:

“More than 80 people, including 10 children, have been injured. Necessary assistance is being provided to everyone. It is crucial that everyone in the world does not remain silent, does not remain indifferent. Pressure must be exerted on Russia for the war to end and the safety of the people to be ensured. If there is no truly strong pressure, if there is not sufficient support from Ukraine, Russia will continue to prolong this war. It has been two months since Putin ignored America’s full and unconditional ceasefire offer. Unfortunately, those in Moscow are confident that they can continue killing. We need to take action to change the situation.”
