Russia Warns Ukraine with a Deterrent: “We Reserve the Right to Respond”

The spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zaharova, made a written statement regarding the ongoing attacks on Russian energy facilities by Ukraine.

Zaharova stated that they reserve the right to respond to Ukraine’s attacks on Russian energy facilities. Despite the agreement not to attack energy infrastructure facilities in the U.S., Zaharova pointed out that attacks on Russian territories by Kiev continue. She noted that on March 19th, there was an attack on a fuel depot in Kuban, followed by an attack on the Suca natural gas measurement station in the Kursk region on March 21st. Zaharova also mentioned deliberate attacks by Ukrainian military drones on residential and social institutions, stating: “Kiev’s actions once again show a complete lack of negotiating ability and unwillingness to reach peace. Similar to 2022, provocations are now being used to disrupt the negotiation process this year as well. We clearly warn that if the Kiev regime continues its destructive path, Russia reserves the right to respond, including with symmetric measures.”
