Russia’s decision on e-Visa: Duration of stay extended to 30 days

Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, announced that the duration of stay for foreigners entering Russia with an electronic visa (e-Visa) has been extended from 16 to 30 days. Mishustin, in a meeting with the government in Moscow, made statements regarding the e-Visa system. He mentioned that for two years, citizens of 64 countries have been able to visit Russia with e-Visas, with over a million people benefiting from this system during that time. Mishustin stated, “Changes will be made to the legislation regarding the extension of the stay duration with e-Visa. This period will be increased to 30 days instead of 16 days.” Mishustin also shared that the validity period of the e-Visa will be extended to 120 days from 60 days, mentioning that this would allow foreign citizens to explore Russia more.
