Scandalous Leak of War Plans in US: Responsibility Taken by Trump’s Advisor

In the US, the main agenda was the accidental sending of messages containing attacks on Yemen and war plans to a journalist through a messaging application. US National Security Advisor Waltz took full responsibility for the scandal.

National Security Advisor Waltz evaluated the leakage of the controversial Yemen war plans on Fox News, stating that he takes full responsibility for the incident. He said, “Yes, it’s shameful, we will investigate the incident.”

ELON MUSK TO INVESTIGATE THE INCIDENT Waltz, who mentioned that he did not know how journalist Goldberg was included in the group, stated that he had talked to US President Donald Trump’s senior advisor Elon Musk to investigate the incident. Denying any acquaintance with Goldberg, Waltz claimed he did not notice his presence in the group. Although Waltz mentioned that there were no secret information in the conversations, he expressed a preference for not sharing these conversations.

WAR PLAN SHARED IN THE COMMUNICATION GROUP US journalist Goldberg was mistakenly included in a messaging chain where war plans for Yemen were discussed. Goldberg, in an article titled “Trump administration accidentally sent me war plans in a message,” wrote that he was first added to a Signal group that included national security officials and then, in a message sent by Hegseth, details about attacks on Yemen were shared. Goldberg stated that US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz contacted him on March 11 via Signal and invited him to join a messaging chain named “Houthi PC Small Group,” where attacks against the Houthis in Yemen were discussed two days later. In his article, Goldberg wrote, “US national security officials included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. At first, I didn’t think it was real. Eventually, the bombs started dropping.” White House National Security Council Spokesperson Brian Hughes confirmed the incident.

TRUMP DEFENDED HIS ADVISOR

US President Donald Trump also mentioned that Waltz did not need to apologize. Trump defended Waltz, claiming that a colleague added the journalist to the chat group. Trump also stated that there were no confidential information shared regarding the attacks in the group.
