With less than two weeks left until the Ramadan Holiday, millions of retirees and eligible recipients are focused on the holiday bonus payment schedule. A bill proposing a 4,000 lira holiday bonus is set to be discussed at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and, if approved, will come into effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. The increase of 1,000 liras in holiday bonuses is expected to create an additional cost of 28.4 billion in the 2025 budget. The Social Security Institution is currently working on the payment program. So, when will the Retirement Holiday Bonuses for 2025 be deposited? Here is the payment schedule for retirement holiday bonuses… Approximately 16 million eligible recipients will benefit from the retirement holiday bonus payments. Since this year’s Ramadan Holiday begins on March 30th, those who become eligible for retirement in April will also be able to benefit from the bonus. Retirement bonuses for 4A, 4B, and 4C are deposited on different days based on allocation numbers. Last year, Ramadan Holiday bonus payments were completed in 3 days. Especially those preparing to travel or shop for the holiday will follow the holiday bonus payment schedule. So when will the SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund bonuses for 2025 begin? Here is the projected date for the bonuses. In order for the retirement holiday bonuses to be deposited, the relevant bill must first pass through the TBMM General Assembly. Once the bill proposing a 4,000 lira retirement bonus is approved, it will be published in the Official Gazette and come into effect. The bill proposing an increase in the retirement holiday bonuses is expected to be discussed and published in the Official Gazette by the latest by Friday (March 21). Approximately 16 million eligible recipients will benefit from the Ramadan Holiday retirement bonuses. Last year, when the holiday fell in April, payments were completed in a total of 3 days. Retirement holiday bonus payments start with those under the 4(a) SSK category and receiving a monthly income. Last year, payments began with those allocated numbers 17 and 18 and ended with those numbers 23, 24, 25, and 26. The bill will come into effect after the completion of the activities of the TBMM General Assembly. The payment schedule for retirement holiday bonuses will be created by the SGK. It is expected that the holiday bonus payments will be deposited to eligible recipients starting from Monday, March 24. Retirement holiday bonuses are deposited twice a year – before Ramadan and Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Adha in 2025 will begin on June 6. There will be no additional increase in retirement holiday bonuses this year. A payment of 4,000 lira in holiday bonuses will be made to retirees before June.
