Second case of meningitis reported in Mongolia: 7 symptoms to watch for
Mongolia has reported its second case of meningitis within the year 2025.
The National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) stated in a press release that the disease developed as a result of an infection caused by the bacterium ‘Neisseria meningitidis’.
Officials cautioned parents to be vigilant for meningitis symptoms in their children such as headache, fever, neck stiffness, nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound, and to seek urgent medical assistance.
