The Ministry of Trade announced the seizure of 728 kilograms of drugs with a market value of 572 million lira in Kapıkule, Hamzabeyli, and Hatay.

According to the Ministry’s statement, approximately 544 kilograms of skunk were seized at the Hamzabeyli Border Gate, around 61 kilograms of marijuana at the Kapıkule Border Gate. In addition, approximately 123 kilograms (701,925 pieces) of captagon were found in a container at the Iskenderun Port. Investigations regarding the operations are ongoing under the Edirne and Iskenderun Public Prosecutors’ Offices.
