Sharp decline in the stock market: Week’s highlights

Istanbul Stock Exchange ended the week with a 2.79% decline. The stock with the highest loss of value during the week was Alfa Solar, dropping by approximately 15%. The highest return was achieved by Aksa Akrilik.
The BIST 100 index in Istanbul Stock Exchange completed the week with a 2.79% decline, reaching 9,602.16 points. Throughout the week, the index ranged from a low of 9,474.03 to a high of 9,953.91 points. During the same period, the financial index in Borsa Istanbul decreased by 1.07% to 11,485.05 points, the services index experienced a 3.25% loss to reach 9,699.56 points, the industrial index dropped by 3.12% to 12,117.22 points, while the technology index increased by 1.11% to 14,260.77 points.
TOP GAINER STOCK OF THE WEEK
Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, the stock that saw the highest increase this week was Aksa Akrilik with a rise of 14.59%. Following Aksa Akrilik, Margun Enerji with 7.45% increase and Bera Holding with 5.82% increase were observed.
LOSING STOCKS OF THE WEEK
The stocks that saw the most significant value losses this week were Alfa Solar Enerji with a 14.49% decrease, TAV Havalimanlari with a 10.38% drop, and Cimsa Cimento with a 10.13% decline.
The most valuable companies with shares traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange were Garanti BBVA with 537.6 billion lira, Turkish Airlines with 426.765 billion lira, and Koc Holding with 381.906 billion lira.
