Siege in the West Bank: Israeli army demolishes 17 homes

While a fragile ceasefire continues in Gaza, the Israeli army is intensifying its attacks in the West Bank. Most recently, the Israeli army demolished 17 homes in the Nur Shams camp. Palestinians were only allowed to take a few belongings from their homes. Similar scenes to Gaza are now being repeated in the West Bank. Displaced people, destroyed homes, and the rush to collect belongings from the rubble are all being captured by cameras. The Israeli army has been conducting operations in 4 refugee camps for over a month. At the beginning of the operation, the army evacuated the camps, forcing Palestinians to leave their homes. Expanding their operations, Israeli soldiers recently decided to demolish 17 homes in one of the camps. Before the demolition, Palestinians were allowed to briefly visit their homes and take a few belongings. Palestinians tried to salvage what was most valuable to them. After the destruction, the search for belongings in the rubble began. Residents of the West Bank are saying that what is happening is no different from Gaza. In the operations launched by the Israeli army in the West Bank immediately after the Gaza ceasefire, more than 50 people have died so far. Approximately 40,000 Palestinians have been forced to leave their homes.
