Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced that the economic cooperation meeting between Turkey and the European Union (EU) took place in a very constructive atmosphere. Mehmet Şimşek shared about the meeting held in Brussels, stating that there was a consensus on enhancing economic relations and increasing cooperation in all fields with the EU. Minister Şimşek used the following words on social media: “Today, after 6 years, we had the Turkey-European Union High-Level Economic Dialogue meeting in Brussels in a very constructive atmosphere. In our productive meetings with our EU counterparts, there was a consensus on enhancing economic relations and increasing cooperation in all fields. Additionally, discussions were held on the modernization of the Customs Union and visa facilitation. The deepening of relations with European-based international financial institutions was also evaluated. It was decided that the next meeting of the Turkey-EU High-Level Economic Dialogue will be held in our country.”
