SP’s New Interest Rate Forecast for Turkey

The credit rating agency SP has revised its year-end interest rate expectation for Turkey from 35% to 32.5%. The organization did not make any updates to its dollar/TL forecast.
Credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has updated its interest and exchange rate forecasts for emerging markets. The organization also revised its interest rate and dollar/TL forecasts for Turkey. According to S&P, the year-end interest rate forecast for Turkey was lowered from 35% to 32.5%. The interest rate expectations for 2026 and 2027 were recorded as 20% and 15%, respectively. S&P did not make any changes to its dollar/TL forecast.
The organization announced a 42 forecast for the dollar/TL at the end of 2025. The dollar/TL expectations for 2026 and 2027 were 47 and 52, respectively.
