Following the declaration of unsuccessful martial law in South Korea, state president Yoon Suk Yeol, who was removed from office, has been released. According to Yonhap, the Seoul Central District Court accepted Yoon’s appeal against the arrest warrant, arguing that the indictment related to martial law was illegal.

According to Yonhap, after Yoon’s release, his supporters gathered in front of the presidential residence in Seoul to hold a demonstration.
