President Erdoğan met with the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, at the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum. Barzani stated on his social media account that they had a “highly productive” meeting.

During the meeting, Barzani emphasized the importance of revitalizing the peace process in Turkey as a path towards stability and lasting peace. He also highlighted the need to seize this historic opportunity and for the PKK to respond positively to Öcalan’s call.

Barzani also mentioned the significance of President Erdoğan’s recent meeting with the DEM Party delegation in terms of dialogue and peace.

A statement released by the KRG Presidency highlighted that the meeting between Barzani and Erdoğan addressed all dimensions of Turkey’s relations with Iraq and the KRG, particularly focusing on the Development Way Project. The mutual desire to enhance cooperation based on shared interests was once again reaffirmed by both sides.
