The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week with a 0.10% increase at 9,962 points. The stock market had a positive start to the week. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 10.41 points and 0.10% to reach 9,962.07 points compared to the previous closing. The banking index gained 0.06% while the holding index rose by 0.29%. Among the sector indices, financial leasing factoring had the highest increase at 2.42%, while the metal main industry had the biggest decrease at 0.49%. In the domestic market, Borsa Istanbul followed a buying-weighted trend on Friday with the BIST 100 index ending the day with a 1.11% gain at 9,951.65 points. In the global markets, there was a mixed trend with renewed concerns about additional US tariffs, and attention this week shifted to the inflation data to be released in the US. Analysts noted that technically, the BIST 100 index has resistance at 10,000 and 10,100 points, with support at 9,900 and 9,850 levels.
